Through the skills and expertise of our talented workforce, we have provided insight into our customer operations through the development of quality products and services. This has enabled our customers to balance the competing demands of cost, performance and compliance. OSyS’ global business allows us to work closely with our customers, providing the required support in their development. Our employees are based in the UK (Bristol and Derby), US (Washington DC, Houston, Indianapolis and San Diego), New Zealand and other locations where customer support needs to be local or even co-located.

Doug Otto
Business Development Manager – HoustonAs part of our global sales team I develop interest in our KMS software by working closely with our customers to understand their needs and matching them with our solutions. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Petroleum Land Management, and I also have a General Business degree from Berry College.
My interests include travel and bicycling.
Before joining OSyS, I was Director of Business Development for Oklahoma’s Cascade Disaster Response Company, and was Senior Business Development Manager for Lloyd’s Register Capstone Engineering.
I was the 2001 International Salesman of the Year during my role as International Account Manager for BP Microsystems, Inc. (based in Asia). I served as Technical Sales Representative at the Environmental Systems Company (ENSCO), and was Corporate Landman at Phillips Petroleum.
My proudest moment at OSyS was working with other colleagues to close sales with major oil and gas and petrochemical companies.
Ian Mason,
Assistant Finance Manager – DerbyAs part of my job, I provide financial support to leaders, both within OSyS and Rolls-Royce, our parent company. I also ensure that the financial information we provide to our customers is correct and up-to-date.
I’m a Chartered Management Accountant. My interests include classic cars, motorcycles, gardening and gadgets.
I joined Rolls-Royce in 1996 and later started working with OSyS in 2000. At that time, OSyS was a small company. Seeing the business grow into what it is today has allowed me to use many skills across the company, as opposed to focusing on one area, which can happen in larger companies.
My proudest moment at OSyS was becoming a qualified accountant, which wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my peers and colleagues.
Kevin McGinn
Data Supply Chain Analyst – Bristol
Each quarter, I’m responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of operation reports to two of our customers, whose fleet managers use these reports to analyze, enable trends and create flight forecasting patterns. The data I provide in these reports provides the right mix of technology and insight to our customers.
I have qualifications in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from the British and Technology Education Council (BTEC). Obtaining this qualification resulted in my promotion from a Technical Assistant to an Analyst role.
I’m interested in computers, networks, aviation, football, rugby, swimming, traveling and warm weather.
My proudest moment at OSyS was obtaining my “BTEC” through a company-sponsored education course. Without OSyS, that would probably never have materialized

Louise Paling
Team Lead, PEHM Development – Bristol
My current role involves planning and organizing what software will be developed within my PEHM development team, focusing on the functionality that will provide the most benefit to our customers. I coordinate with other PEHM development teams to ensure a cohesive product release, and I monitor and report progress on our team goals. I hold a Master of Engineering degree in Software Engineering.
I began my career at OSyS as a Software Engineer, developing software for an engine monitoring unit. I subsequently progressed to a Senior Software Engineer role, working on a variety of products. I have recently moved to a more managerial position in which I still use my technical skills.
There area I am most proud of during my career in OSyS is explaining problems and finding solutions within product development. This has lead to delivering software that has really helped our customers, improve their operation, something that always provides me with a lot of satisfaction. And, of course, I am proud to have been promoted.

My proudest moment at OSyS has been being part of the Fuel team (development, implementation, service, and customer business). We worked together to implement and release the FMS version 3.2 software. It’s great to play a part in bringing cutting-edge technology and insight to our customers.
David Ellick
Program Manager, Maintenance Management – BristolMy role is to manage the Maintenance Management team, ensuring that we deliver the right products and services to our customers. By understanding our customers’ business, our team’s goal is to provide solutions that bring real value and are sustainable.
I am also responsible for working with others to understand and develop the strategy and direction of our Maintenance Management services, ensuring that we have the right mix of skills and abilities to meet our business goals.

Working in the field of Maintenance Management has given me opportunities to work in a wide variety of industries, which has been very fulfilling. Some of my career highlights include being part of the Offshore Reliability Data (OREDA) working group representing AMOCO, and creating a risk-based maintenance schedule application for Marks and Spencer Retail Group, which allowed the business to see immediate positive results in their maintenance budget.
My proudest moment at OSyS was presenting to Rolls-Royce CEO John Rishton and the Rolls-Royce board on OSyS capabilities. I was also proud to have the Rotables service that we developed immediately recognized as a key Rolls-Royce service. Hearing back from the executive team about the value OSyS brings to Rolls-Royce was very satisfying.
Nina Martire-Falco
Business Development Manager – RestonI manage corporate acquisitions, acting as liaison between OSyS leadership, Rolls-Royce Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) department, and the management teams of target companies. As part of the acquisition process, I investigate company financial valuations and purchase price recommendations, and then report my findings to our leadership teams.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Finance and International Business) from Villanova University and a Masters in Business Administration (International Business) from Georgetown University.
My interests include CrossFit training, travel, cooking and martinis.
I joined Rolls-Royce after university as a graduate trainee in the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). After completing the FLDP, I accepted a manager role in Rolls-Royce Sales Finance – Aircraft Financing. There, I worked with the Civil Customer Business teams on campaigns in the Americas region, developing and negotiating financing packages.
My proudest moment at OSyS was closing the acquisition of Superstructure Group, a company known for its aviation safety solution and intense upside potential. Acquiring this business supports OSyS growth strategy and I was glad to be part of the process.

Senior Vice President – Sales and Customer Business
Nick started his career by completing an aerospace engineering apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce. His natural business acumen and passion for customer facing exposure developed early in his career. One output of this was the development of JetSCAN® in the early 1990’s. The project, which started as an internal process improvement initiative, quickly developed into a sellable EHM offering for both the UK and US defence departments.
The JetSCAN® project won British Design Council and Flight International awards, and has since generated more than $50 million in revenue, while achieving major improvements in fast jet flight safety and cost of ownership for the Royal Air Force, the US Air Force and others.
Nick joined Data Systems & Solutions (DS&S) when the company was first formed in 1999 and spent five years as the Operations Director for our defence business, building operations in Bristol, San Diego and Indianapolis. His final position in DS&S was Vice President, where he was responsible for delivering $40 million of annual sales across each of the Rolls-Royce business units.
Nick was appointed CEO of Oxford BioSignals (OBS) in January 2007. He then moved on from OBS in August 2009 after addressing declining sales, fixing product issues and securing the deal for OSyS to acquire the OBS Industrial business.
Nick was then appointed CEO of Oxford YASA Motors. He grew YASA Motors from 2 to 20 staff and zero to £1 million of product revenues within two years of formation. He secured new venture funding and positioned the business to win a large development contract with a major automotive manufacturer before leaving to rejoin OSyS in October 2011.

Andy also worked for a number of years in a freelance consultancy capacity before joining Data Systems and Solutions (DS&S) when it was formed. He played a key role in defining the strategy and change management for the merger of the software services and predictive services business groups of DS&S to form OSyS.
In his time at DS&S and OSyS, Andy has held a number of program management, operational and customer facing roles. Most recent roles include Director of Consulting Services, VP - Middle East Operations, and SVP - Customer Business, before taking on his current role.
